Synopsis

From Patrice Leconte, the director of The Hairdresser’s Husband, comes an intoxicating masterpiece of delicate eroticism.

Victor Charma (Hippolyte Girardot, Manon de Sources) looks back at an idyllic summer on Lake Geneva in the late 50s which he spent with the beautiful aspiring actress Yvonne (Sandra Majani) and her mysterious friend Dr Meinthe (Jean-Pierre Marielle, Tous Les Matins Du Monde). In hiding from military service and the Algerian War, would-be-writer Charma is drawn to Yvonne on his first encounter, and they seemed destined to be together, however the sun-filled days of social gatherings and passionate assignations prove all too fleeting.
